On a sunny Saturday in May, we joined Chris, Laura and their family & friends for a day of celebration at Winters Tale Country Barn in Buckinghamshire. Having had their wedding the year before, the couple were looking for a vibrant, relaxed day – it was a real joy to be a part of it!
As the celebration was an all-day affair, Chris and Laura opted for our brother band, the Ukes of Hazzard’s roaming, acoustic quartet for their welcome party and drinks reception. With our wireless backpack amplification, we were able to move from spot to spot so we could always be where the guests were, setting the tone as everyone arrived and got settled into the day. With tunes like ‘Better Together’ ‘Ho Hey’ ‘Let’s get it on’ and ‘No Scrubs’, there was something for everyone, all in an acoustic laid back style.
There was plenty going on – with a magician, a caricature artist, loads of games for the kids and drinks flowing for the adults! Our acoustic sets worked perfectly as a backdrop for the hive of activity, people catching up and enjoying the sun – it was great to provide a soundtrack to set the tone with crowd-pleasing tunes.
As we moved into the evening, it was time for Mumfudden Suns to take to the stage, bringing the party feel and getting guests together on the dance floor. With the Ultimate Package, transition from the day-time acoustic vibe to the evening party band is seamless. For the evening performances, our photographer captured the best of the party, mingling with guests on the dance floor and capturing portraits by the bar. The band got their teeth into tunes like ‘I will wait’ ‘Kiss’ and ‘Mustang Sally’. Before long, the dance floor was packed with everyone singing along – it was a fantastic end to a brilliant day!
